Solving Needs
Though we are a start-up school with a vision rooted in Madeira Island, we created Madera School of Digital Arts with the approach of embracing a remote, collaborative learning environment that mirrors real-world tech teams. By offering accessible, flexible courses, we welcome diverse applicants from all backgrounds. Our focus on Madeira stems from a desire to address the challenges local youth face, as many have to leave the island for educational opportunities. Our mission is to change that by creating pathways for young people to pursue a future in tech without needing to relocate. We believe in fostering talent locally, ensuring that even those who cannot afford to study abroad can build a successful career.
We also recognize the high unemployment rate on the island, and we want to give people a second chance through our programs. Every program at Madeira Tech School ends with practical skills training, such as CV writing, followed by a job fair where local businesses are invited, ensuring our students have direct opportunities for employment.
Furthermore, many businesses on the island lack knowledge about running a professional website. Most restaurants and small businesses rely on Facebook pages, and 60% of them are poorly maintained. This gap in digital presence is a clear need, and we’re here to help.

our Solution
At Madeira Tech School, we offer courses that focus on the four key roles needed to build a professional website. Our students work in teams, each taking on a specific role, to create real websites for local clients that we find for them. This hands-on approach ensures that what they learn is applied immediately, resulting in a final product they can be proud of.
At the same time, local businesses benefit from high-quality, professionally built websites at a lower cost than what they'd pay a traditional agency. This helps smaller businesses stay competitive and up-to-date, even with limited resources.
